Greeting cards are smaller than postcards and generally contain a message, photo, and gift. On the other hand, a postcard is usually larger than a greeting card and is sent primarily as a greeting. There are several differences between the two types of cards: 

• A greeting card is often designed to be presented as an individualized gift, while a postcard is meant to be sent out indiscriminately. 
• A postcard may have more text than a typical greeting card because it's often used as an invitation or announcement. 
• Greeting cards are typically printed on thicker paper stock, while postcards are usually printed on thinner paper that's easier to fold up and mail. 
• Postcards may also have decorative elements like embossed designs or borders that distinguish them from standard postal mail.

Main Difference: Greeting cards have foldings, while postcards cannot be folded.
